I really try to have some constructive suggestions for this shot but I don't even know where to start...

Oops, I've just realised I've posted early - thought I'd posted Friday when I took the photo - should I delete or wait the extra time till my next post

Yes, you're about nine hours too early for posting. I'd leave it this time, Guy ...

Back to the shot, I wonder why you placed the subject in the frame as is?! Just curious. :?
Love those eyes but the shot looks way over sharpened.

If I put it anywhere except dead centre, it looked really odd. If I put it in the centre it looked odd coz there was a slight lean from the right & a light difference,....... so then I thought, what the heck......... stick it way over right & it looks like an intentional fade:oops:

Yes I agree, but the image looked really flat otherwise (you know what the light has been like here in HK recently) & I haven't learned how to deal with it yet
I guess shouldn't really have posted it, but wanted to get peoples comments & suggestions so I know what to do next time.

This is so unconventional! But with that direct eye contact, I think it actually works quite well!

It does look a bit over sharpened, but that sort of thing is very hard to tell on this laptop screen.

I find this very unique and I really like it, composition and all! I think the bg really helps here.
Well done.

Sorry, but I have to go the other way. First, I like unconventional. When I view those images, I learn more about creativity. I like the intense eye contact. For me, the over abundance of negative space to the left and to the right are image killers. I personally prefer shots like this a little more centered and frame filling to get the maximum impact. :)

Talk about out of the box. I'm sure you'll get many varied responses on your unconventional composition.
Sure it breaks some rules, but I think it works here.

Very unusual composition. Can't quite make up my mind as to whether I like it or not :?

The eyes are great, and do draw in the viewer. I just wonder how it would look if you had both sides of the head in the frame? You could still leave it in the corner, but I find that extra bit of cropping slightly off-putting.

Good stuff though. Good to make people think.

It works for me. The comp and stare certainly give a mood to this image. Keep trying different stuff like this Guy.

Wow. Well, I think it was a good idea that ALMOST works for me, but something isn't quite right. I really want to see the other side of the head for one thing. It certainly gets attention, that is for sure!

I like the unusual composition !!! 8) 8) attracted by out of the box thinking !!! Would probably crop from the right since there is no detail which weakens the image !!!! Big Congrats on this one !!!! :)
