I decided at the last minute to head down the street to my shorebird pond for a little shooting. Things have really started to thin out there and the water has been receding a lot. In fact, the water has receded to the point that I can now belly crawl in a few spots without vegetation in the way being a problem. So I decided to get down and dirty for a couple of Greater Yellowlegs, the only birds present. Comments, critiques and reposts appreciated!

Great low angle - sweet shot! Can I ask how you know it's a Greater? I have such a hard time with that, unless it's standing next to a Lesser.

Great angle - taking the trouble to get down this low has really paid off :).

This one is just outstanding. The pose, detail and BG are as good as it gets. Groveling in the mud is soooo worth it when you get an image like this one..
