Gus,

That's a cool picture. 8) Probably would work in landscape forum as well.

Some may not like the sloping horizon, but it works for me. Good luck on you next trip back. Can't wait to see you upcoming images from this trip.

I am hoping to go photograph Puffins of the coast of Maine here in the US. Starting the preliminary plans for it now.

[Added 7/14]. Saw Fabs comment and agree. When I first saw it I was reminded of these nature movies you see filmed from a plane or glider as it swopes and soars over the terrain. A nice "outside-the-box" image.

This is great Gus and is going to upset the 'Puffin gang' in the Europe chapter!!!

Sorry Gus. but this just does not work for me.

It's a case of what am I supposed to be looking at - the puffins which there are too few of, or the landscape which is just not there.

As for the horizon, it's very off-putting.

I think this is great. I do wish the dark rocks were not touching the bottom frame.

I like the idea here, but as you say the light is a little harsh, with a little work in shadows / highlights it could easily be toned down though.

Very nice! I like seeing the surrounding area these guys live in. Just wish the horizon was level.

I feel like I'm about to fall off the cliff
I think this would work better for me with soft sunrise/set light and level horizon.

I like the idea but I'd like to see the puffins closer with the same background. Maybe impossible to do with a wide angle lens.
