RED HOT GREAT GRAYS

Len and I had a red hot time working on the Great Gray owls at he Sax-Zim Bog area this last Sunday and Monday, despite record low temperatures
(-41 F), but with no wind and sun the birds were out as usual.
the digital nikon equipment worked without a problem as long as I was using the lithium ion batterys of the d2h, the old batterys on the d1x only lasted about 10 frames.
D2h 200-400 @220m 1/1600 f8 ISO400 crop
