Photographed at the botanical gardens in Montreal. I have spent a few mornings with them, this was on 18 april last year.

EOS10D + 400/5.6L, ISO 200, 1/800 f/8

Like Alan said, georgeous plumage! The open beak is great, as well as the grasses and BG.. love it.

Love the DOF, the pose, the angle and the composition.

My only nit is the OOF blade of grass in front of the bird's breast. Perhaps it could be cloned out (though it would take a better cloner than me)?
