D10 500 F4 1.4X and 2 hours of giving blood to the local mosquito population (not right now as its -40 and there are hardly any mosquitoes out at all :D ). Cropped to square to git rid of distracting bushes. Not sure if this over the shoulder shot works or not? I have mixed feelings.

John,

I think you have nailed the exposure and sharpness, but the over the shoulder look doesn't do it for me.

Thanks,

I'd ahve to agree with Bob; I think the techs are right on, but a little more head turn would really transform this.
4 down, 2 to go.

Nice bird, perch, and BG. I do have to agree with the others though about the pose.

I like it because it communicates to the viewer that it is belting out a tune. If it had been looking this way, there would be a lot more impact of course. More DOF to get the tail would be nice too. :)

Any shot of a singing Warbler is good in my book. It's not connecting with the viewer as he's singing away, but it's still a cool shot.
