Thought I'd get a gull shot in under the motif deadline....

EOS 20D w/70-200 2.8L USM IS w/1.4x TC
ISO 200
1/1250
Incident at - 1/3Ev
F/5
Converted using BB; cropped and processed in photoshop cs. I may have too much USM on it...depends on the monitor I guess...

Nice flight shot. A stronger comp would be to have him lower in the frame. The whites are a bit hot.

Nice one. I don't know why there is so much space at bottom, but I'd crop some of it off.

Hi,

great detail and sharpness; looks a little bit contrasty to me.
4 down, 2 to go.

Lovely, Mike, especially because of the harsh light. A bottom crop is in order (pano or no).

Love the light bouncing underneath the gull. Really well done, a pano would make it sing.

I did a reconversion and crop. The bird is close to the top cause that how it came up in the frame when I shot it. I think your suggestions worked well with this crop.
