We are making plans to return and I was looking at some of the images I had not processed. This is one which I did not like the background, but the shot of the falcon is clear. The others I made had stacked TC's and were more difficult. We were closer this time
Looking forward to returning.

Beautiful Falcon! :D Great exposure and colors. The BG is a bit busy and there is something distracting in the eye - a feather?

Excellent shot of the A. Falcon Steve. Too bad they don't always perch where we'd like.

You shoot 'em where you find 'em. The bird looks good and if that's where he wants to perch....who's going to argue. The feather over the eye is the only thing that I notice as a nit.

Apart from the rather busy bg, this is a nice shot, Steve!

The background doesn't bother me much - I like a bit of environment in a photo. The OOF branch in the bottom right cutting off the tail is my only nit.

Beautiful bird.

A fine shot of this beautiful Hawk. I would clone out the feather on the eye.

Steve that is one sharp image at 1000mm and 1/60 sec !!!!!!

Lots of detail in the bird and great perch !!! BG is a bit distracting but the bird shows well !!!!

Congratulations !!!!!! 8)

Nice shot.
The light illuminating the bird looks attractive and brings out the warmth of the light brown coloured feathers.
I'd try and clone/tone the bright spot just to the side of the lower part of the tail.

An awesome bird and a great pose. I wish the background wasn't quite so dark in spots so that the head of the bird would stand out better.

maybe you could clone the errant feather which obscures the eye? I think if you did that, it would help this quite a bit. The difference between a good photo and a great one is in the details! Nice job.

What a beautiful falcon! Nice shot Steve and I hope you're able to get him with a clean BG on your return trip! :D
