thanks to this bird i ended up meeting both artie and greg downing while getting down and dirty in a small ditch ;-)

(s)he was cold and was trying to warm up in whatever little sun there was at the time, surrounded by a plethora of photographers with long lenses !

Nice shot. I did not see any close enough to shoot, while I was there. Perhaps next time. I also want to get a good shot of a pheasant,which was also not in the cards.
THis is a sharp, nicely composed shot with the addition of a Morris and Downing afterwards.

Excellent job of getting the body and tail without interference. This bird was definitely not affected by close approaches while all the others wouldn't let you get even a grab shot from the car. :D Lovely colors too.
