Yesterday morning this drake and his mate greeted me with Christmas excitement shining in their eyes. Or was it my flash? Anyway, since it is the Christmas season, here is his gift to me that I can share with you...

Thanks for looking. My wood ducks here at my house are real ham actors. They are very animated and offer good photo ops when there is enough light to make images. They like to get out and around very early and very late so lack of light is my biggest problem. There were three WD drakes here this morning but too early for acceptable shots, unfortunately.
