Shot this sub adult Cooper's Hawk riding an extremely strong updraft on a local ridge this fall.

LOL! I don't think these guys would give a mouse a second look as they prey on almost exclusively on birds! This is just a migrant riding the updraft along a cliff face. :D

Wow. Beautiful shot Jim. Loe the blown up feathers under his tail. There is a halo from what seems to be S/H around him, especially the back edges of the wings.

Great shot Jim. SUPER shot as usual! You are still raptor man!

I thought I was going crazy until Chris confirmed that I am not the only one seeing the halo. Might have gone a tad too far on the SH tool as the bird also looks a tad washed out. There is also a sharpening halo under the neck. Otherwise wonderful, just needs a little re-processing. :)
