Holy Mackerel, what a treat Karl! Amazing details , must be viewed large (clicked on). Your D850 shots raised the bar,,,just silky smooth and the colors are superb. Not surprised camera is on back order, at least here in USA.
I can't wait when you get the 500mm f/5.6 PF and see some images from that combo.

Very nice, Karl. How were you able to get the D850? I lucked out when I got mine about 6 months ago - put my name on the list at Adorama and had my D850 in less than two weeks.

Wonderful bokeh- looks like the D850 is working well for you...along with some considerable skill. :) A sweet image of a charming little bird.

Thanks, Bruce.
There is a store nearby, small one but big selection and very nice people. I always get substantial break on the price as my best friend is a friend of one of the owners. (Family owned)
I still have the D500 and will keep it mostly for BIF shooting.

Karl, indeed a beautiful shot of a very skittish bird. I love the blurred background - the greens show off the perfectly sharp beak and the yellows match the bird overall - seems a bit on the edge with the tail up and u can see the alertness to fly!
I really really love this shot - i see this in our backyard very often - sheer hard luck - shy and skittish bird!! One of these days! WONDERFUL PORTFOLIO too!

As for the D850 - i ordered mine the day it was released hoping to get it for EJ's Duck workshop - it came 6 months later!!

Q: do you manually enter the EXIF data?
