B.A.S. "Bird Anti-Shake System"

Before the sunrise, with a long exposure, this kingfisher got a steady image thanks to it's B.A.S. :D :D

Pretty cool the way he held his head steady. I have a shot of an owl shaking his feathers like a wet dog, and his head is steady too. And Harold Stiver's short ear down the page a bit shows the same behaviour.

Oh, yes, I get some sharp ones (I posted one of them some weeks ago). I just post this one to show how the bird keep his head almost steady, while cane movement shakes his body. I thought it could be interesting. Thanks for your comments, always welcome.

It is amazing how many birds are able to keep there head in one position while their body is moving up and down. Kestrel's and most raptors are really good at this. It seems KF's are too which makes sense since they sit on shaky perches and are able to get fish with pinpoint precision.
