Short-eared owl in late day light.
This is by no means the greatest shot of short-ear in the world, but its an example of shooting from the vehicle window.

Canon 1DM2, 600mm f4 IS (on), w/2x at ISO 250.
1/100th sec. at f11.
Beanbag from Jeep window (window rolled part-way up), elbows anchored against Jeep interior.
This is cropped to 30% of the original frame.

Sweet shot, Paul. Simple and nice with monochromatic colors. I might crop the bottom to the top of your name.

Paul I'd either make this a vertical, or crop the left OOF tree out. The light is stunning as is the owl.

You did well with the bird high up in the frame ... rather unusual for me though!

A very unusual presentation of a well grabbed critter. It oddly works, making me visualize the bird inspecting its domain!

Nice shot and sweet light. I would crop the bright band on the left and a bit off the bottom.

Any clean owl shot is a great one. You did well with the light. Well done.
