Redtail balancing in the wind

This redtail like to hunt voles from the tops of small pines. When it's windy, he finds it hard to keep his balance on such spindly perches, and a lot of wing flapping and foot shifting ensue

it's amazing what birds can do ! it must be neat to be light :) and of course to have wings in case all else fails !

The raised wings in my opinion is the focus of this shot and I miss it, aj ... :(

I like the crop as it is. The focus to me is the head and the big talons trying to grab the little branch. Great image!!
