Green-headed Tanager

This species which we photographed in the Atlantic Rainforest of Brazil quickly became my favorite tanager species, it also have bright orange/red on the rump when it flies. 
Canon 1DX II 300F4 1/400 F5.6, iso 1000, fill flash at -2.0

Thats an eye-popping bird and equally nice image. Must be a real challenge with these guys to not blow the details in the light colour on the head. Always seem to be in dark areas with dark-ish BG's. You kept it in check here mate.

There sure are some amazing Tanagers in South America - this is one of the more outrageous looking ones.  Great shot!
