Depth of field was tough.  He landed too close for my 840 mm and wouldn't quit moving but I got a few before the sun went over the hill a few minutes later.

open up the shadows on the belly.

Sweet pose. Shooting a bit looser (smaller in the frame) would help with your DOF. A kiss of fill flash would help here too.

BG color is a perfect match for the bird and the pose is very cool. I have no problem with the DOF. Try a little Shadow/Highlight to compensate for no flash

Love the calling pose, classic perch and a complimentary background. These guys have been really tough for me. Nice work.
