Bad lighing, under exposed, too far and pouring rain -- I think the pose is worth a post; otherwise another almost great image :evil:

The composition is cool, almost like the bird is an extension of the branch he's taking off from. Ordinarily I'd like more room to the left of the bird but it seems to work ok because of how well he extends the branch. I like the grey bg.

I like this but a bit of a halo from the shadow/highlight recovery tool I think. The wing position is great and the comp is quite dynamic.
