The sun was low when this Snipe perched on the fence post. This fence post was cut at an angle that shows the feet to good effect, many of the posts face the opposite way thus cutting off the feet. The aperture was selected to keep the entire post in focus as it is a significant part of the composition. Removed some of the red cast and adjusted levels, 40% crop.

Ken, this is just beautiful. Love the stump, the lovely Bg and the bird looks awesome. There might be a green cast to it Ken.

Sweet light -- looks to be a slight sharpenning halo (could be me given I am working from a Remote Display)

Excellent! Wonderful light and composition. The slight color cast can easily be fixed.

No luck ... the image doesn't seem to get through for some reasons. I've tried a number of times to no avail. :(

Thumbnail display works okay though!

I agree with Mike on this one Ken. Wonderful image and just the slight green cast to get rid of. 8) 8) 8) 8) :)

Super shot Ken. I never noticed the cut angle on the posts, though the ones with moss make very attractive perches. I like your comp and the inclusion and movement of the feet.
