Got this egret at Bombay Hook this weekend, other than that it was kind of slow

Excellent image, Daniel. The head turn works well to show not only the fish but the breeding lores as well. I would crop a little off the bottom to strengthen the composition. Still, excellent as is. :)

Very nice! The composition is good but cropping a little off the bottom, as Bill suggested, would make it even better. I find the sharply focused ripples somewhat distracting and wonder about the aperture at f/18. A more open aperture would have softened the BG more, especially behind the head and beyond.

Well composed and I too think the fish helps this one a lot. The soft light kept the contrast down and the ripples in the water is very nice.
