Hello Everyone,

First Year Ruddy Turnstone. September 6th, 2003.

I haven't posted an Image lately, but today I decided to post one of my favourite shorebird pictures from last fall. I had a lot of fun photographing different bird families for the first time, but shorebirds were one of my early favorites. This spring I’m looking forward to going to Point Pelee and Long Point (Ontario) and try photographing some of the Neotropic Migrants for the first time. (Especially warblers) :)

Taken with a Cannon 10D, 100-400mm @ 400mm. Resting on a Rock.

Good Birding

Sweet image! The low angle really makes it. Very intimate.

Lovely shot, your DOF is perfect. I've only ever seen this bird once.

Went to Long Point twice over the last 3 weeks hoping to see Sandhill Cranes, but alas, no such luck.
