Here is another Caspian Tern shots taken recently ... :roll: Do you find the two tone BG distracting in this case?!

EOS-10D, EF500/4L IS + EF1.4x
Incident @ - 1/3, ISO 200

KK, The BG is fine IMO, nice bird and a nice pose as well, I don't know if fill-flash was possible here, still very nice!! Congrats!! 8)

:D Excellent flight image with the wings outstreatched and the fan tail. They don't usually fly with tail fanned out, not that I have seen anyway.

I always love to see your flight shots. I wish for more light but I do love the fanned tail feathers and how the back shows. I actually like the two-tone BG in this image.

The two tone BG isn't bothersome. All that is missing from this fine flight shot is a catchlight (or a stronger one if it is there).

I do mind the BG a bit, but it's better than just the featureless water as BG.
