While this really shows the color on a malard's head, the image as a whole is not doing much for me I am looking at the back of the duck's head. I think think the image would have much more impact if the duck faced the camera.

I love the colours on male Mallards heads and this shows them very nicely but I would much prefer to see his face too! :wink: Have to admit that this shot is certainly different! :)

I find this intriguing in that the colors are so beautifully illustrated and I just love close up detail.
