Shot this male Redhead end of March in Lake Ontario. The way he's stretching his neck,
something must have gotten his undivided attention.

EOS 1Ds 600 mm f/4
1/320 sec f/6.3 +2/3, ISO 200.

Nice shot Dieter. These are difficult to approach closely. You need a bit more space in the front of the bird, IMHO, so it is swimming into the frame rather than out of.

I was East Humber on Friday, was hoping to bump into you. There was a Harlequin Hen in the small bay. Also at LaSalle Pk. on Saturday and the Redheads were so close, my 500mm was much too long!

Nice shot of this Redhead. My only wish is for him to be a little to the right in the frame.
