A very nice pose Jim, showing the claws is a plus, a slight head turn (down) would have taken it over the top. Great image I know how frustrating they can get hiding behind the trees.

Hi Jim,

Really sweet bird. I love the foot, hardly looks like it is grapping into the tree at all. Just shows how much these birds rely on the tail for braceing.

I'd crop up from bottom to remove the loose bark strips.

Way to go!
