Ring-Necked Duck

EOS300D, Sigma 100-300 F4 + 1.4TC, ISO 400, 1/1000 @ F8 -1. 550EX + BB -1.

Just a little Ring-Necked Duck at the Wildfowl and Wetlands Reserve, but he looked full of the joys of Spring and the Daffodils were reflecting in the water to give a cheerful splash too.

All comments and critiques always welcome and appreciated and thanks for looking.

I hate to nit such a beautiful shot as this but it needs a slight CW rotation. Then I'll have to have a strong dislike for you again.

Gorgeous shot!!

Lovely duck and water, Carol. I assume your angle was high because you had no other choice.

I spent the whole afternoon shooting these guys at Santee yesterday. I'm sure I didn't get anything this vibrant and colorful. Keep the ducks coming. I'm absolutely loving it!!!

Lovely colors and details on this photo. The only thing that puzzles me is why ISO 400 at 1/1000 ? The light here is excellent, no nits from me :D

I think it was because it was a cloudy day with only brief glimpses of sun Michael. The sun peeped out here and caught me unawares! also because I am no tech wizard and tend to not mess with the settings more than I can help!!
