Playtime 101,

While driving to our sunrise destination, we came across a number of bighorn sheep standing on the roadside. Switching my camera to tungsten white balance, I told Tom to point the headlights (on bright to diffuse the source) at the sheep. Resting my 70-200IS on the dash, I shot this at 153mm thru the windshield. It was taken to illustrate a concept, and meant as an illustration. The more one understands the fundamentals, the larger the box of crayons one has to play with.

1D, 70-200IS
exposure via histgram, ISO 400, 1/15 @ 2.8

Best and see you in the field,

Chas

You have a cleaner windshield than I usually have.

I like the technique and how this looks. The blue BG really sets sheep off.

Thanks for posting a creative thought here. The blue in the snow and sky really tells the story of cold and night.. I like how this creative experiment worked out.. Thanks again for posting.

it really stands out. Interesting effect and clean windshield. What do you do, clean them hourly when driving? I find lots of bugs cause spots when shooting, but I dont clean often.

Chas,

You are always thinking outside of the box-this is great. Tungsten wildlife, what a concept. How about some sodium vapor?
