Elephant
Lower Zambezi National Park, Zambia
EOS10D, 500F4L IS, 1.4xTCII, iso 100, ev-2/3, 1/250, f9

We sat for a time near a waterhole to see what would come to drink. We were surprised by a rather large breeding herd of ele's. Our positioning was fortunate in that it allowed me to capture this image of three ele's drinking. I had hoped to have all three with their trunks in their mouths at the same time, but the little one wouldn't oblige...

Comments welcome and thanks for looking.

I love the position of the 3 staggered like this. Just like a kid to not cooperate for a photo!

I like the baby and the little wader is pretty cool too. Would wish for the OOF grasses to not be there.

Large, medium and small- something for everyone. Neat shot with the symmetry. You might be able to crop this to a tight vertical to accentuate the stair step look.

Looks like you and Carol had a great time on your trip- can't wait to see more! :D

Great shot Dave, even with the OOF grasses. I love the stair step effect here.

I agree with Cheryl - super shot. To some the grass may be distracting, to others it provides the sense of being in a hide on the wait .. Thanks for sharing your safari with the rest of us..
