Took this shot at an animal rehab center around my area. He had just woken up and was stretching his spine while letting out a great big yawn! Light was horrible, so I had to pump up to ISO 800. :(

Gorgeous. I would definitely consider smoothing out the wood plank lines in the background to take it to the next level. The lens blur filter could make this look like it was taken with an f/2.8 lens resulting in a smoother background.

If you can make the background look less like planking, this will be fantastic! Great job!

ahhh.. the love of photoshop... I just didn't do it since it was a captive animal anyways. But sure, it's an easy fix with the new lens blurr filter in Photoshop CS.

I'll try to repost later when I'm with my home PC.

Vadim,
Just put my name on the list of admirers. Surprising how good this looks at 800.

Yawn and colors are great. And 800 ISO doesn't look like a problem, at least at this size. Only wish is for a bit more room on all sides, but I'm guessing you framed it close to eliminate HOM.

Yeah, tight crop was important to avoid that horrible wall. In any case, it's one of those "OMG, he's YAWNING GOTTA SHOOOOT". So I don't know if I instinctively cropped him like that :)
