Taken in a bog as the sun just peeked over the mountains to the east of Anchorage.

Hey Tim,

Great man .. I'm looking forward to seeing more of these from you over the next few months. I'm sure you'll get some really good stuff up there.

Lovely lighting and a nice silhouette. I think a small crop from either side strengthens it a lot, cropping the OOF tree on the left, and about at the 'th' in your signature on the right. I think in silhouetted images, any distracting elements become doubled or tripled in how adversely they affect the shot. They're amazingly hard. You caught the moose about perfectly, with an eye, both ears and that nose .. cool shot bro'!

I think I owe you an email .. tomorrow .. It's my bedtime!

Cheers

Carl

Well done Tim. It has an ethereal feel to it. I like Carls crop suggestion but I also like it just the way it is with more environment. Thanks for sharing your image in FFM.

This is a terrific shot. I like how extremely sharp the head profile is offset by the reflected light from the water. The mist is wonderful. Thanks for sharing your image here at FFM forum... Its really great..

Terrific silhouette. I think Cheryl said it best with ' ethereal '. I love the morning mist and the mood it lends to this photo.

Tim,
This is a very special image. I, too, thought about cropping on the left but I,too, like it just the way it is also. Sorry to waffle but two thumbs up any way you cut it!

Wonderful as is. Ethereal certainly captures it well. Love the position of the lightest light to spotlight the head. Do like Carl's crop suggestion as well.

Beautiful shot. I really like the mood and I'm not bothered by the trees on the edges.

Definitely ethereal as others have said. I love it as is, but think a crop might also help. The sharp silhouette against that golden fog is great. But she looks lonely.

I'm late seeing this image but just wanted to add my kudos. Perfect light, mist, and subject.
