Bengal Tigers, 10 weeks (captive)
Black Pines Animal Park, IN

These shots were taken at a private zoo in Northern IN about 7 or 8 years ago. After the tour had seen the cubs, I was allowed to take them out into the yard and take some pictures. I do have a few that included all of both cubs but I liked this one better because it put more emphasis on their heads and interaction and by the time I had backed up to get both tigers in the shot, the interaction was not there. I also did not have anything available to make the setting look more natural for the tigers-I was happy just to get some shots of them and get to play with them. This was also when I found out that I am allergic to tiger cubs (also lion and leopard cubs). Fortunately I am not allergic to my house cats.

Nikon N90s with 80-200 zoom, handheld, Sensia 100.

Its a really cute shot... the cub reaching up the swipe at his/her sibling is so typical cat behavior, domestic or wild... Thanks for sharing.

Great interaction, love these "kittens" at play. :) I hope to see some big cats in person myself someday. I have always been fascinated with them and can only imagine what it must have been like to be there taking this photo, witnessing this scene.

Cute shot Cheryl, we always laugh at the size of feet on cubs that they just have to grow in to!

Love the interaction, especially that one raised paw.
