Hi all,

This was taken a few weeks back at one of the state beaches near Monterey. I was wandering the beach and almost stepped on this guy as I walked over a small ridge. He/she was very accomodating and just laid there, napping while I sat and watched and took some shots. Shortly after this (one of 3 that I caught of it scratching an itch) I left. What a wonderful creature.

Canon Eos10D + 400mm f/5.6L @ f/13. 1/640th, ev -2/3, natural sunlight.

Chris,
Fine motif shot. The flipper brings this image over the top for me.

A fine shot Chris. Techs are spot on and the flipper scratch is a bonus. Well done
