My first post in Wildlife and this one's from the Brookfield Zoo today. My daughter and her girlfriend were having a delightful time. We went to watch the walrus. It was a quiet day for him too, so he swam up to us and spit a fountain of water up at me looking down at him. I pulled back the zoom to the widest setting to get this before he went back down.

Welcome to the forum and you are off to a grand start.. My only suggestion would be to crop it square, letting go of some off of the right. Its has a lot of impact, in your face... Thanks for contributing to wildlife. Looking forward to more..

Great detail in the capture. There is just about enough dof to render the eyes sharp - it's always difficult when the opportunity is so fleeting. I agree with Denis about the crop.

Nice work.

Welcome toi Wildlife. This is a wild shot. I too would crop it square to further emphasize the face. I love those whiskers and 'fish' lips.

Great shot! Looks like he'd be a serious contender in the gnarly mustache contest.

Never seen a walrus that close up before :o :o I agree with the square crop. This one has a great expression!!

Has anyone been anywhere to shoot them in the wild? I would love to do that someday.
