Nikon D1X 28-70mm f/2.8-2.8 D 42mm 1/8 f/22 0 EV ISO 125 Tripod. 90% of full-frame, photographed at Safety Harbor, Florida, this morning.

Wow, I love it! Love the symmetry and centered composition, plus the lines leading me into the frame. My initial reaction was for a crop off the top (probably more than Ken is referring to) but after thinking about it, I feel that it is the "unknown" that we are led into by the pier. I can use my imagination as to what's out there, but if the space wasn't there, I wouldn't feel quite the same.

One option (and this is in no way suggesting it would be better because I really like it as is) would be to select the yellow jacket and desaturate everything else to black and white.

I think Heather summed everything up very nicely. I love this, Bill. The mood of the foggy pier is wonderful. I also really like her suggested desaturation. I do like it a slight bit better with a bit cropped off the top.
