I'm back from the Smokies, but since I've not had time to scan any of that material, I'll post an image from the Midwest trip to Michigan's UP earlier this month.

Oy look at all the color. I'm partial to panoramics, and I love the composition here. Nice use of the road and fog to add depth.

It looks so cool and damp there and the colors are wonderful. Nice contrast to our hot and dry fall.

Yes, this looks familiar. :) Very nice shot, Danny, good use of the 617 in a spot that doesn't obviously scream "pano." The string of evergreens really aids the composition.

Jenny, it may look cool, but the temperature on the day this shot was taken cracked 80 degrees (record warmth for the date in the Munising, MI area). It was pretty humid, however.

Looks cut off on the right. Other than that, a great shot. Wonderful light and color.

Well Danny this is a very nice image. The mist adds a wonderful mood to a well composed Pan.

This was my favorite spot of the trip and I love the pano view here. The fog adds a nice touch.

Danny, this is beautiful! I live the fog resulting in the subdued colors. Thanks for posting.

Danny, love the mood and texture of this shot...the fog and colors combine to give an excellent, almost palpable feel to it.
Shoot in RAW because memory is cheap, but memories are priceless.
