This image was from my first visit to Death Valley. The tour I was with,was granted permission to photograph the interior of Scotts Castle.
This was a first for the park service and I am not sure they ever opened up the interior again for photography. The interior lighting was limited to the house lights and the windows were covered with drapes. We were required to stay on a narrow carpet that ran through the house and we were under strict supervision by a park ranger. Last edited by James W.
