Great shot and you were fortunate that the sky had some detail in the wispy cloud -- it's not uncommon for it to be a solid boring blue. And, if there had been denser cloud cover it would likely have been much brighter causing a Drange issue.

Congratulations.

Having grown blase about slot canyon photos on the web, I'm happy to say this has given me a much needed kick in the pants. It was accompanied by suggestion that I wake up and look up.

There's a lot going on that not everyone sees.
