Were did you got your website counter?
Are you happy with it?
Did you went with a free counter or did you decided to pay to have extra features like more complete statistics?
Any suggestions on web counters are appreciated.
Thanks.

Your web site host should provide the code for one free of charge. All the details you need should also be provided via the administration area. Most times you will just pay for what it is you already have access to IMO. Check with the company hosting your website.

When you purchase a hosting service you should get this feature totally free. Call them and ask for the link.

Thanks for the advice, but I'm not paying specifically to host my site. My DSL package includes hosting a web page up to 25Mb and I believe they don't provide anything else, but I'm going to check with them any way.

Alexandre,

My situation is similar to yours. (Except I'm using the 10MB of space that my father-in-law got along with his DSL connection. I don't have internet at home.) His (my :)) provider has a free service. I had to look for it on their website, but they do have some free tools. Not much, mind you, but a couple of different forms and a few different counters. They don't seem to have any stats for the counters, though...

I recently started using StatCounter. They seem to have a decent free counter. Best of all it is invisible, unlike many that want to place ads on your site.

I have used the Extreme Tracker for awhile now and will probably abandon it. It is just too inaccurate. It is amazing the discrepancies between how these counters track visits.

Even though I have Webalizer through my web host, I am not too pleased with it. The statcounter package is much more user friendly.

Hi

My web hosting company supplies me with WebTrends Reports that are far better than any counter, as it gives you specifics about time, and the most used pages on the root directory. It's all included on their basic plan of only $9.95 a month. If your're interested the company is myhosting.com a Softcom.ca company. Good Luck
