I just recently aquired a D100 and am wondering which software you folks would recommend. Obviously, an image editing program is needed but beyond that I am not sure. I plan to shoot RAW so I need a converter. Is Nikon Capture the way to go? How about DigitalPro or Breeze Browser?

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Breeze Browser is a converter for Canon files not Nikon. Nikon Capture, from what I understand is a very good program. As for image editing, Photoshop CS is the premier program but there are less costly avenues such as Photoshop Elements or Paint Shop Pro that will do an adequate job.

I'm surprised that the D100 didn't come with anything - check your CDs; many cameras and scanners have PS Elements included. If not, I would suggest that you go for Elements anyway. It's very good value and if you later decide to upgrade to PS CS you should get a healthy discount from Adobe.

cheers, Oliver
