When you do web searches for software, some pricecheckers (pricegrabber.com) return prices for OEM resellers that offer substantial discounts.

OEM Windows packages are a known quantity and have restrictions- that seems legit. I just got an email for Photoshop CS as OEM package, and the price is $80. Hmm.

Some of these OEM resellers don't have a substantial web presence either - they are "storefronts", with limited services and business track records. Anybody know if this second type of OEM business and the goods are legit?

$80 for PS is not legit. We have had numerous discussions about this here. You will get the software in most cases but it is not an Adobe licensed version. Some of these companies use all sorts of ploys to get around it but the bottom line is, its not legal.
