This is incredible, especially when compared to other sites targeting nature photographers. What a trend!!

Kudos!

What an awesome little tool! You can see who is linking to your site, how many people visit, how much it's grown, etc. Cool stuff.

While I am glad to see NSN growing I am somewhat skeptical of what Alexa reports. Frankly I am not sure without access to a sites server logs what data they use for their reports.

For kicks I ran my companies website through Alexia. It did not have any traffic details, not in the top 100,000. The screen shot it shows is from our previous layout, which was changed four months ago.

After comparing traffic in several Nature Photography sites I realized that in all of them there was a huge traffic decrease in late November. Is this related with Thanksgiving holiday or something?

Thanksgiving, no. Most likely the Bosque effect.

My hat goes off to all the people who make this site what it is on a daily basis. Congratulations.

Considering the short time the site has been up - I would say that is pretty impressive. Congrats guys!

From that site "Alexa computes traffic rankings by analyzing the Web usage of millions of Alexa Toolbar users. " The disclaimers seem reasonable enough to me. Congrats NSN.

For a more accurate analysis, you need to use a tool such as WebTrends. This tool analyzes the server logs and give you a more complete picture.

Thanks, I must have missed that.

I agree with Scott that more accurate reports come from programs like Webtrends that analyze the actual server logs for the site.
