Another from the same day at Denali as my last. In a perfect world that plant wouldn't be in front of him. How much does it detract?

Thanks for looking

Michael

Michael, Very cute little squirrel! I don't mind the plant as much as the out-of-focus center of the foreground, but I recognize that you probably had limited options here.

Hey Michael,

This rocks .. the squirrel is wonderfully sharp, and really well caught . the obscuring shrub doesn't bother me at all. It almost acts as a leading line towards his face and front paws. I might be tempted to blur the sharp vegetation on the LHS of the frame though ... that distracts my eye a bit.

Cheers

Carl

I like the range of OOF vegetation- gives it a bit of an abstract feel- particularly the background. Actually what bothers me the most are the corners of the slide mount- and those are easily cropped off.

This is very nice. The postion and action of the squirrel make it for me. The autumn foliage really makes this stand out. Well done.

Happy New Year. :)

I enjoy seeing this guy looking right at you and the detail in the hands with the eating behavior. Sharpness and exposure are dead on. I like the quality of the light for the subjecct. Of the two photos, however, I like the first one better. I guess I am not with the crowd here as my eye keeps going back and forth between the subject and the oof plant in front of the squirrel. Because of this and although it does provide a sense of depth, I think it also detracts from maintaining attention on the primary subject. I guess you may have had some thoughts along these lines also as you posed the question.. Thanks for posting here..

Sweet shot Michael. The colors and the squirrels expression are wonderful. I find the OOF vegetation mildly distracting but would certainly not have thrown it out for that. I do like the first shot better but would still be happy to have this in my files.

The light and the exposure as well as the colors are exceptional, the minor nit is the OOF twig in front, sometimes we have to get what's offered!!
Wonderful!!! 8)

I'm going to find #1 now. I like this, and hear "that is real pretty" over my shoulder. I like all the OOF veg, that's my taste.

The OOF F/G distracts, but this is still so cute.

This is just lovely in every way although I do wish the oof plant wasn't in front of the squirrel. The BG colors are very pretty!
