Make Canon
Model EOS D60
Flash Used No
Focal Length 300 mm (f/2.8L)
Exposure Time 1/350 sec
Aperture f/3.5
ISO Equivalent 100

This is another shot that didn't make the initial cuts, bypassed for other shots taken in the same series. Originally I didn't like the brush in the bottom of the frame but, having evaluated it more closely, it doesn't detract from the image at all.

Thanks. This one didn't make the initial round of cuts because it was a bit tighter than I wanted, leaving little space at the top for a masthead, and I had tigther body and head shots that didn't have the foliage in the bottom of the frame. Now that I had time to reflect on this one, I like the little bit of foliage.

Interesting that caribou are fairly drab in color but their rack freshly sans velvet is awesome.

Excellent shot and Happy Holidays to you. I would even prefer more vegetation at the bottom.

Lovely portrait with great colors. I would have preferred more DOF either by shooting at 200 or a slower shutter speed as parts of this appear a little soft. I would NOT however have sent this to the trash bin! Well done and Happy Holidays.

Dick, I'm glad you rescued this from the cutting room floor, but I'm wondering how that works with digital files. The vivid red with velvet hanging from the rack is great. I'd also prefer more vegetation.

Very nice; the red rack is spectacular and the over the shoulder look provides a very strong pose. Like Greg I would prefer even more of the flowers at the bottom. (But if it's going back on the cutting room floor, let me know where to sweep!)

Perfect Holiday colors- now if it had a red nose! I like the pose and the angling velevet. I'm a bit surprised there are no flies or mosquitoes visible- perhaps it was windy. Nice shot.
