Cheetah Acinonyx jubatus
Captive
EOS300D, 500F4L IS, 1.4xTCII, ev -2/3, iso 200,1/1000, f7.1, 550ex +BB -2/3

Finally got around to shooting some animals instead of ducks. When we arrived at the cheetah enclosure, this one was sat on his mound watching the visitors. I was fortunate to get a few shots off before he moved. We waited around for about half an hour but he didn't come back.

Just beautiful!!! The BG compliments the Cheetah to perfection. I kinda wish that small bright spot behind the neck wasn't there but this is gorgeous as is!

Very nice portrait, with perfect exposure and depth of field. The eyes look so sad though.

This is a wonderful shot. The only down side to it is that it makes one of the most tenacious predators look almost docile. :lol:

A beautiful portrait. I love the colors and composition. I think I would tone down or eliminate the highlight behind the ear.
