Hello NatureScapers:

Thanks for all the contributions and participation this week. I must apologize for not posting any pictures this week..The regular job is sucking the life out of me right now :? ... but enough of that..

Just grabbed a shot off of my website. I don't think this one has been posted before. Just an Elk Bull looking out over his group of girls, Rocky Mountain National Park on a wonderful overcast afternoon, October 2002..

Have a great weekend everyone..

A stately environmental portrait.

I hear you about work, my friend, but we have to support this photography somehow! :x

Beautiful environmental shot Dennis. I like how your choice of DOF had FG abnd BG blurred so that your subject really stands out. It is often very hard to do this with elk, deer, moose since they frequently hang out very close to the wooded areas.

I heard that Dennis :)

Fantastic shot, the low angle really sets him off. Congrats.

Dennis, great shot of an impressive bull. The environment provides some good context without clutter.

Lovely shot Dennis, the BG colouring is very reminiscent of Scotland when the heather is out in bloom :)

Nice shot - I can see exactly where the cover text would go above and below.
