...we can go somewhere else, like Custer State Park, where there's more to see and do.
(But first, grab a hot buffet breakfast in the visitor center which will not be crowded at this hour!) Seriously, Mount Rushmore is worth a very quick shot right after sunrise because in moments harsh shadows will begin setting in. Now that you've seen it, chow down and head for Custer and Wind Cave.
