Leopard

South Africa
Nikon F100, 500mm f/4 AFS II
Provia 100 pushed one stop

I was in South Africa in June and had the opportunity to see about seven different Leopards. This one is a young female, sharing an Impala with her mother in a tree. She is turning to look at a Hyena waiting at the base of the tree. I wish the light was better (it was overcast most of the time) but I do like the pose.

This is a very nice shot Jeffrey, I love the pose and that expression. Lovely detail in the face and eyes - and you were lucky to have overcast days because the sun can be very harsh - except early and late in the day, and this soft light has resulted in a lovely image IMHO. 8)
