Still trying to find time to go through Tanzania 2002 in preparation for TZ 2004. Tail was just completely relaxed, at the end of a sleeping lion high in a tree. Didn't turn out quite as dramatic as I had envisioned. Any suggestions?

Great shot- I llike how the branch cuts through the frame at an angle.

Suggestions- Take me along in your baggage! If the tip was curled a bit it might add some interest, particularly if it hung below the branch. Good luck getting your model positioned for that one.

Hey Rich,

I like this a lot, very creative and well seen. I like it more cropped from the top, so that the tail begins from the top of the frame already backed by the branch, (This also crops out some of the sky as well) -- but to me it enhances the feeling of abstraction.

Cool.

Cheers

Carl

Nice idea, Rich -- I like the lines and texture in this shot. I'm not sure how to make it more dramatic -- maybe using flash as main light to darken the background and change the mood.

Great idea!! it would be even more dramatic if the branch wasn't there!! and just free hanging against the sky. 8)
