Hi,
I understand that the Kalispell area in Montana is on the migration route for the Bald Eagle and is a favoured location. Can anyone put this UK photographer in or around the right spot?
I'll be in town early Jan 2004.

Regards

John

West Glacier in Glacier National Park used to be a real hot area for Bald Eagles. Kokanee salmon that had finished spawning and were completing their life cycle was easy pickings for the eagles. Those Salmon came out of Flathead Lake. Unfortunately the Dept. of Natural Resuource planted a foreign species in the lake to help Kokanee's but it backfired and there basically are no or very few Salmon in the River. So it is a real hit and miss. But That would still be the best area, The River will be open, but the lakes in that part would be frozen, I suggest you call the Park when you arrive and maybe they can give you up to date directions!
