 D1x/80-200F2.8@105/Tripod Iso125 F11 1/500 Hello NatureScapers: Here's another blue sky motif contribution. This was made in March on the ice off of the Magdelan Islands, Quebec Canada. It was not the easiest place to get to, taking me four flights to get to the island and then a helicopter ride out to the ice pack, but despite the travel and the cold a really enjoyable and productive trip. This little fellow is probably 4-5 days of age, as they become "white coats" in their second week. They hang out in little depressions in the ice thrown up as the sheets collide, presumably for wind protection. Between nursings, mom is away feeding under the ice and in the open water and its a little lonely out there...
